My 2.8D stalled now won`t start

Pulled into my driveway this arvo and my truck stalled and would not start it is making a single click noise from the starter motor but won`t turn,My battery was flat(shouldn`t of been why it stalled) so I put another one in and still the same prob ,I put it into 5 gear and rocked it backwards and forwards and moved a little, What could the prob be

Um i had a similar problem in my first lix it could be your starter motor or a relay or relay wire why it is making that clicking noise the stall part i wouldnt have a clue will it push start?

strater may be stuck in drive gear, had this happended before gave it a love tuoch with happer and fixed the problem, just my 2c worth

Pull the s/m

Remove the cover on the front (vehicle front, alright, closest radiator) of the solonoid

Remove the solonoid contacts and clean them with a file or replace if they're really bad. ~ $12 or so.

The starter motors on 2.8`s go at approx 90,000kms depending if it does lots of short trips or mainly long trips with.

yes-replace the starter motor contacts-contact Hilux problem-mine went out slowly-so after a few goes it would start but always seemed to play up when I didnt need it!

There are two relays on the pass side inner gaurd in the back corner ( dont know there names at the moment) but one of those went in mine something to with the starter relay

same thing happened drove it home parked it and came back in 20min wouldnt start found out it was one of those relays gave it a (LITTLE) tap and all good replaced it asap....
