Copy from auto elec section...

Ok had a look at the mounts for my spotlights today and the guy i bought it off has put those lock nuts on there that you need some sort of tool with a couple of pins sticking out of it to remove the nut (if that makes sense) Is there a way to remove these without the tool or somewhere that will sell the tool to suit the nuts???

Cold chisel in the lock nut holes.
Has worked for me on wheel lock nuts.

use a cheap socket that just doesnt quite fit over the end, hit it onto it, then use a ratchet

If you get really stuck and all else fails you can weld something onto the nuts to undo them. The heat from welding helps loosen the nuts too.
