i am talking to a guy who does a few OKA parts, looking at a front diff (low pinion dana 60) and he has told me of a dana 70 front available. i don't know what it is out of, and if such a beast exists. can anyone shed some light on it? thanks

Later model OKA's have D70 fronts. Over here in Aus the only other trucks I am aware of that have them are the C and D 1410 and 1600 International trucks, but these axles are wide heavy closed knuckle jobs with drum brakes.

Parts for the front would be really rare - I thionk it was some of the 80's GM trucks that came with the D70 closed knuckle front.....Doesn't really offer any strength over the D60 - but is a lot heavier....
Anyhow that's my understanding....

I think ARB make lockers for them. You can get Detroit lockers and lockrights for the closed knuckle 4 pinion diffs. not sure about the 2 pinion ones that I think are fitted to OKA's. Jack Mcnamara Differentials probably has something that fits too.. There are some gear ratio choices available Stateside but locally I think 4.88:1 OKA ? and about 6.1 something for the 1600 Inters.
