Does any one on here use these and if so what do you think of them and are they worth the extra cost!
Is there anything else on the market that is just as good or similar to these!

Only recently bought a new orange top (cranking) to replace an Overlander 700 (century yuasa) which is still fine but is to be used as an auxillary for a while. Fairly impressed so far, cranks a lot faster than it has before and can run the arb compressor for ages with the engine off, which is something i would not have done with the Overlander.
Fits into a smaller area and pretty sure it weighs less aswell.

I have a red top and have been running for about 2½ years and I couldnt be more pleased.
Heaps of power and doesnt leak acid everywhere and corode terminals and stuff.
Have also heard of them lasting 7 or 8 years so if you work out how many cheapies you would go through it doesnt work out more expensive at all.

We have two red tops in 24v mode in our GQ Shorty with a 24v 55amp alternator for the last 18 mths and they have been faultless. I've been wrapped with them. They power the Warn 8274 with 24v motor and I've lifted the back wheels off the ground under winch in the winch challenges a few too many times.

Oddessy are supposed to be pretty good too.
On the Optima's - one thing that was pointed out to me was if you are using the battery for starting and winching you are supposed to get a Yellowtop not a Redtop.....

I thought a hi discharge would be much better than a deep cycle for winching ?
