Just to let you know. Auto Alliance the distributors of Ranco Shocks stand behind the product.
Purchased a full set of RS9000 about a year ago and noticed the rears were leaking oil. Took them back today and after a quick inspection Kirk exchanged them for newbies. Gave me the new 9 position ones as against my old 5 position.
Thought it nice I didn't have to have any hasslels with warranty.

If the lift is to 2" they are fantastic, over 2" you are on your own.

IMO ranchos over rated.
They have a great marketing, works well.
My 2 cents

Have to agree. After doing some research (and talking to Leon) I decided against getting them on my Feroza.
Rancho appear to be of the opinion that if a shock will bolt onto a vehicle then it will work fine. The rear Feroza RS9000X is the same shock as fitted to a Ford 3/4 ton truck! Anyone who knows anything about shocks will tell you the internal valving needs to be matched to the weight and spring rate of the vehicle....
Leon's been having some problems with his replacement RS9000X's being too hard- even on the softest setting. Look here for the full story:

I have had ranchos on the back of my zuk for a few years now and they are great. it comes down to researching the right shock for your application. In the end I used a shock for a completly diferent app than specified (can't remember tho
)
I agree that they tend to rcommend a shock that doesn't match but I think this stems from the US market where they tend to set things up differently than here

can't complain about mine, they've been on two cars now for 4 [or is it 5] years, been to the cape, the simpson, the gulf and have done heaps of hard weekends.
