ok guys i have a question when i am extending my wheel base obviously everything has to be moved back including my brake portioning valve can these metal lines be extended as the portioning valve needs to be moved back with the diff
and everything else seems to be ok i will be getting longer arms getting a new shock mount bar and weld it in place further down the line as weel as spring mounts

Id say it can be done with a compression fitting and a flaring tool
+ extra tube

Or find some metal tube with a Inside diameter the same size as
the out side diameter

Extend the new tube as long as needed with oe brake lines sliped
inside the ends

Than bronze weld togther


Don`t know how legal this is or if it needs enginerring

theyre just normal brake pipes aren't they? just buy a roll of brake pipe from a local motor factor and a cheap flaring tool and make new ones the right length (same as you'd do if they corroded through or got squashed!)

I'd just make new ones. As mentioned, pipe is cheap and just get a flaring tool (these are cheap too).

you cant just extend your rubber line and clip it permanent along the chassis and only let it drop when u want it to???

these lines run back a fair way if needed i will get all new ones but just wondering if they can be extended or not

other than that i gues i will dive in and start cutting and welding

i use a good mobile bloke thats quite cheap. ring abs brakes kawana as ask for his number - his card is at work and i won't be back there for a week.

i would get rid of the valve at the same time and run a proportioning valve thet is non load compensatory. you will find that te rear brakes will not work effectively atm as the load is a lot less than your body was.

i am fabbing mine into an adjustable one quite easily. remove the spring to the diff and remove the bolt from the valve and replace with all thread and 3 nylocs (1 to lock thread in place, 1 either side of lever to adjust).

i measured my dual t/case for ya and it adds 235mm to the length.

cheers for that measurement mate can you post pics of the valve and explain in more detail
if this is the case i won't need to move it back or will i?
this would be alot easier as i could just use a straight tube for the shock mount and not worry about getting the original one moved
