hi all
can you take the oil sump off a sportrak with out having to lift the
engine out i have been told my rings may of gone

I dont know if you can or not. But me personally, I would do it the right way and take the engine out to do the rings. :shock:
Dont expect mere proof to sway my opinion.

yes, to make things easier the engine would have to come out. you have the front diff and driveline in the way and it would be too much of a pita to take it all apart.. might as well just lift the engine out and overhual the whole thing. much easier to work with that way as well. good luck.
