PM Rock Hopper on this forum, he has kits which are very similarly priced to suzisport, include more parts then suzisport (I am 99% sure they do not include the steering damper), and from a reputable source (Carrolls).

I couldn't find out where suzisport source their leafs, but there is only one person I have had tell me Carrolls is shit suspension, 99 billion others say it's good.

Rock Hopper is by no means affiliated with me, but just his prices that he has quoted me are quite cheap without any haggling to be had.

To save you the hassle, I'll quote what he has already quoted me:

suziki spring kit

4x springs
4x shocks
8x u-bolts
1x bush kit
4 x shackles
1x steering damper

price $841-00

bulk price $791-00

Bulk price was if/when I order a few kits through him (myself and a few mates are interested) - I guess if the $50 is big bikkies to you PM me and I'll include you in my order when I do it, but honestly it's probably not worth the saving.

$841 is basically is everyday price.

Hope he doesn't mind me posting it, but honestly without any haggling his prices are already pretty good - that price included shipping to my door I think as well. Anyway, worth a try.

4WD Warehouse-Blacktown (02 9622 1000):
Sierra leaf suspension kit (inc. springs, shocks, u-bolts and bush kit) @ $695.00. Shackles @ $26.00e (but don't always need them) and steer damper @ $79.00.

There are cheap lift kits and there are cheap lift kits. Don't make your decision purely on price.

Yes Suzisport are cheap, but have you driven a vehicle with this setup?

The springs are King Springs, a lot of the lift comes from them having minimal flex, you will need to remove at least one leaf from the pack. The shocks (extended travel 4-way adjustable shocks) are still very very firm on the softest setting (oh and to adjust them you have to remove them). Yes you get good lift and onroad handling is improved but offroad is very stiff. If you are intending to fit a larger tyre diameter as well you would be better off sourcing components separately. Have just worked on a Sierra with this package and 31s the springs were so stiff we could jack up one wheel and lift the entire end without reaching the bumpstop !! The shocks are extended past halfway at rest which will limit any down travel when offroad.

The entire Suzisport kit comprised 4 springs, 4 shocks and relevant bushes. If the other kits include such things as U-bolts and steering dampers or shackles, consider the cost if you find you need to change these as well.

My 2 cents worth: It is better to spend an extra $100 up front than to replace everything in six months time because cheap was not what you really wanted.

I don't know your vehicle but assume that it still has the factory suspension. This would be have been on there a long time, expect the bushes to be shot to shit, this leads to excessive wear on the bolts (you will probably find the big bush at the front of the rear springs has moulded to the bolt preventing easy removal, out comes the grinder). Take this opportunity to inspect and replace bolts.

Use grease, lots of grease and loctite on all nuts.

thanks for that, i was always wondering about some of the cheaper ktis which may have stiffer spring prevent better wheel travel. Do you know what the suziwest kit is like, as per above message someone is offering me one for $400 but once again i have no idea what the springs and shocks are like. The other idea i had was a spring over, but i gather you'd need a engineer cert for this otherwise you might get booked.

The sierra i got is completely stock, it gone further place than i thought already but i'd prefer more wheel travel. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
