Hi all,

I own an NL GL (base model) with the basic seats. Was wondering if I can bolt in the seats from an NJ/NK/NL GLX or GLS models?

I'm happy enough with the viynl trim and floor but would like a bit more comfort in the seating department. Central locking would also be nice......

Thanks

I'm pretty sure the bolt patterns would be the same throughout the range.
Why not try for a set of suspension seats that were a factory option on some NH models with the Triple Diamond Pack (if you can find them).
But I would be extremely surprised if NL GLX or GLS seats did not bolt straight into your NL GL.

I'm with Bitsa. From a manufacturing point of view, it doesn't make sense to have lots of different versions of the same part, so the main bodyshell should be the same across the range.

Normally, the only difference between models is what's bolted to them, and what's not. Even wiring harnesses tend to be the same across a model range - it's only what's plugged in that changes.

Cheers,

Scott

I managed to fit 99 GLS into my 93 GL.
All i needed to do was get the big black metal pan that goes under the middle seat ,a couple of brackets ............AND THE BIG 1(yours may already have these so check first)...............
You will need to get the metal brackets that are spot welded on the inside of both back guards. You drill them out and then a panel beater will re-weld them back for you. You'll also need 2 nuts for the very top(roof) of your back seat belts. It's a bit of muckin around...but highly worth it.

Cheers James.
