I have a commodore v6 in the 4runner and i am looking at manual transmissions to run behind it. I have the marks adapt. comm- dyna gearbox adaptor and i was wondering what other (strong enough) gearbow would mount to it . I have been told a bundera 5spd would fit but is there any other mods needed to fit the transfers to the donor gearbox?

You should be able to use an R150 or R151 gearbox, but they both use chain driven t-cases. If you want a gear driven t-case, you'll need to fork out some more cash for an adapter.

Marks 4wd sell the advance adapter kit with their own coupler, but be very specific that it is an R150 or R151 and you need a 23 spline to 21 spline coupler.

Ok guys , at the moment the car is sitting with a commodore v6 and the Mark Adapt. heavy duty gearbox adaptor mounted to it, i had plans for the Mark Dyna 5spd but i am a tight ass and don`t want to spend $2,600 on it. From the rear of the gearbox i will be running dual hilux transfers if that is any help, anyway thanks for your help!

I am running a w56 5-speed behind my 5.0lt efi with dual cases and 37's. I have been runing the 5-speed for 3-4 years and the last 1.5 years with duals. I have had no problems. But I do not do burn-out etc.

I I do ever blow it I would consider running a r151/r150 gerbox
