Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I have a 2 inch body lift on my 89 4Runner, all is good except for the problem of continually cracking the plastic console that surrounds the gear sticks when I put the truck in reverse and fifth gears.

I wanna know if there is anything I can do stop it from happening, or should I jus take the prick off and modify something more flexible (like a rubber mat) to fit around the sticks

Remove Plastic Console

Put it in the 'big green filing cabinet' for safe keeping!
