Bought new tyres

I have recently put a set of Silverstone sport Muds on the Paj for a bit of feedback for a friend at a tyre shop. Only a few sets have made into the country and after using them at Landcruiser Park for a few days I highly recommend them. I TURFED/PISSED OFF the mickey thompson claws (pieces of shi*) to put these on and they have performed better than all the muds I have had. Not too mention the price.... These suckers cost about $250each..... Similar price to your everyday mud.. I drive over 1000km a week and these are quiet on the road (providing they are at 36psi) but when bagged give ultimate traction. My claws were really hard wearing, as in, the lugs were hard and broke off, even when bagged at 10psi. After a weekend of hard playing they were still like brand new. However my other vehicle that came as well had claws and again chunks were lost. Why spend $400 a tyre for the big brands when these are as good! I thought I would never bag the leaders in ultimate muds but these will give good competition once they are known. As a result I bought the set and are quite happy and impressed with the quality..

Sounds good Grant, can you get a pic of these new boots ?
I'll be shopping around for 35"s soon, leaning towards the Pro Comps but willing to look at other options.
Front Detroit locker is in but the rear diff has to be pulled apart to replace a seized pinion bearing and replace the busted axle, will get it back on saturday. Next is the body lift to fit the 35"s so I'm interested in all options.

Dropped back to 33's... Was running 35's with no dramas. Front detroits are ready to go but I have gone cold on the idea... A bird told me that the ARBs are not far off.... Xmas present. My spook has front and rear lockers and if I did not have the ability to unlock the front I would have gone mad..... Sorry guys but the detroits are not for me. I have waited long enough so a few more months wont kill me. I love the ability to give the right foot a boot in occasions without breaking stuff. My old paj (2.6)had a detriot front and was very capable but I learned to drive to conservatively.... ARB for me.
