found this while surfing

http://www.quaifeamerica.com/ go to downlaods and get QSpeedCalc

it basicly tell you every thing there is to know about how your gear ratios, diff ratios and tyre size

work out things like top speed in all gears, engine RPM in top gear at 10km 20km 30km 40km and so on to the engine redline

you can plot all info on a grahp to compare speeds from difference tyre sizes, diff ratios, high and low range.

also the RPM drop between gears

just thought that might come in handy the next time you need to work out how fast you going when you put those 36inch muds on

"HIJACK" (kinda)

Interesting program but wtf is with this

Gearbox:- 3800+TH700+4.88
Tyre:- 31 inch
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Top Gear gives 13.830 KPH/1000 RPM and a top speed of 0.000 KPH at 0 RPM

Engine speeds in top gear:-
40 KPH = 2892 RPM 50 KPH = 3615 KPM 60 KPH = 4338 RPM 80 KPH = 5784 RPM
100 KPH = 7231 RPM 110 KPH = 7954 RPM 130 KPH = 9400 RPM 160 KPH = 11569 RPM

The gear ratios I got off the net for the 700 are:
1st 3.06
2nd 1.62
3rd 1.00
4th 0.70

center diff I have set to 1.00

Diff 4.88

Why the hell am I getting RPM of 7231 at 100 KPH?

John

It must be a pretty powerful calculator to figure that out.

i think i just work out what you did.

you need to put your engine redline in the change rpm section at the top left
and the tyre size is worked out using circumference, not the the tye hight.

does this seem more right?

Top Gear gives 42.752 KPH/1000 RPM and a top speed of 235.135 KPH at 5500 RPM

Engine speeds in top gear:-
40 KPH = 936 RPM 50 KPH = 1170 KPM 60 KPH = 1403 RPM 80 KPH = 1871 RPM
100 KPH = 2339 RPM 110 KPH = 2573 RPM 130 KPH = 3041 RPM 160 KPH = 3743 RPM

Top Speed in 1 gear = 53.789 KPH
And changes into 2 gear at 2912 RPM dropping 2588 RPM
Top Speed in 2 gear = 101.601 KPH
And changes into 3 gear at 3395 RPM dropping 2105 RPM
Top Speed in 3 gear = 164.594 KPH
And changes into 4 gear at 3850 RPM dropping 1650 RPM
Top Speed in 4 gear = 235.135 KPH

Thanks mate, that would be it. Thought it was tyre height not circumference.
