so are there? apart from factory, and what the local bearing shop has, are thereany that have a stronger/better construction?

since fitting the locker, i've replaced the rear wheel bearings (worn anyway) and now the front wheel bearings are gone. 10-15mm play on front wheels.

so now seeing as i need new front wheel bearings, can i get some that are better than stock? or will i just have to stop giving it so much curry on the road?

thanks

Maybe it's just 200,000kms of wear? Or the mud.

The factory suzuki ones are really big compared to a lot of cars and wheelbearings arent really much of an issue even with 31"s.

They tend to go at a similar time.

My orignial set made like 240,000kms so it's not like they're really a common repalce item unless you're a mud fiend.

If you're a mud fiend cleaning them and regreasing them regularly makes them last a lot longer.

cheers buddy.

my front wheel bearings were replaced about 3 months after i got my vit, which makes them 1 year old. these were brand new. now, the outer bearing, which has the taper on it, has the outer ring made out of plastic/rubber. (guide that holds all rollers in) is this normal? and its so loose i can take 2 rollers out at one time.

i guess it is all this mud and water.

ps. do bearing have a 1 year warranty too?

yeah, i've done that, actually, i took apart both front hubs today, and had a good look at the bearings. and they're knackered.

so now i have to get new bearings for the front.

and another thing! GODDAMN those bloody phillips head screws for the locking washer! AAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGH!
can i get new ones anywhere? my right hand side hub now has 2 and a half screws for the locking washer.

If they're not installed correctly they won't last long at all and don't overtighten them.
