Hi All

I am building an on board air system and need a pressure switch to cut off air at right pressure and kick back in when it gets to low.

I have found them here http://store.snakeracing.com.au/cache/h ... l?cache=no

But feel $85 is a bit steep for one of these

can I get one cheaper else where? I am in Newcastle
Is there a cheaper alternative?
Or is that just what I gotta pay to have one??

Thanks
Heath

http://www.airbagit-store.com/product.a ... e%20switch

they have adjustable ones too for $US20 - 30, postage is nextg to nothing, you just have to wait a few days for it.

go to gasweld in lambton and they will help ya out, the 240v one will be fine as it works on pressure and the contacts appear to be holding on mine.

You'd better hide from the Tonka police... I can hear the sirens screaming "search.... search.... search.... "

there's been plenty chatting on here about these things,
you can get an ARB switch for approx $35
they activate the pump at the right pressures... i think its around 85 on and 110psi off, have to check to be sure...

Another option is http://www.surpluscenter.com. This place has an amazing range of pneumatic, hydraulic and other gear for sale at amazing prices. As stated previously, postage on something this small is pretty cheap.

Examples: http://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?U ... atname=air
100psi switch US$2.95 (but no high/low pressure so would run the pump for too long)

Better is this: http://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?U ... atname=air
Which has adjustable on and off pressures up to 150psi for US$12.95.

Richard.

P.S. Check out there range of Hydraulic pumps and valves. Prices to drool over.
