Which one has more meat on it?? This is the depth from the surface of the clutch plate to the top of the rivets.

Also are they the smae compound?? Try sratching the surface with a screw driver. A harder compound will last longer, but will be more brutal during take up. A softer one will wear out sooner, however it will be easier to engage with.

to be honest they both look pretty rough. a new clutch is only a hundred bucks or so, or stick up a 'wanted' ad, if you really only want a driven plate, someone will have a decent one lying around from a clutch swap.

get the vernier out and measure the thickness of the linings at the rivets, if there is less than the specified amount (prob abt 0.5mm) then don't use it. measure both sides in a few places.
