Ive noticed that in a stop start stop start through the city today that the fan starts to blow hot air through the vents. once you get a run cool air then comes through ,is this normal?

I get hot air blowing in to the cabin when the heater is onJontyG wrote:Thats cool...excuse the punTiny wrote:no, both my GU and GQ 4.2 turbos deisels have no probs with the aircon when stationary or when off road...
but i wasn't driving with the aircon. I just mean that the fan was blowing hot air into the cabin, even with the temp dial all the way over to cold.
I don't seem to have had the same problem in other 4B's, so i wasn't sure if the was related to some sort of insulation issue in the Patrols![]()
Its normal on both GQ and GU.chips59 wrote:Ive noticed that in a stop start stop start through the city today that the fan starts to blow hot air through the vents. once you get a run cool air then comes through ,is this normal?

Robin Miller on the Patrol4x4 Yahoo forum posted a fix once.
Its just heat soak. Clears up when you move faster.
It means you have to use the aircon when crawling if it gets annoying.
