What sort of fuel ecconomy do people get on a turbo 2H, I used to get about 14.5L/100km but for the last few months i have been getting about 17-18. I did the valvle clearance and new injectors before christmas and it brought it down from 19L/100km.

Any suggestions on what it could be.

I get reasonable amount of blow by but how much could that increase the consumption.

what boost are you running? intercooled? how long since your injectors were serviced? IDI injectors don't cope well with big boost and leak a lot of excess fuel.

how clean is your air filter?

is your exhaust blocked?

does it smoke? if so what colour? (white, grey/blue, black?)

have you modified anything else on the vehicle? extra lift, bigger tyres etc?

even 14 is pretty ordinary

I get roughly 14l/100km. It gets down to about 12 depending on how conservatively i drive.

Running 35's, 12.5psi and intercooled.

Perhaps the edic is playing up Sambo, and the pump is staying in over injection? Governor diaphragm leaking perhaps?

Exhaust smoke will tell the story.

from what i can tell it blows black and a bit of white smoke. the injectors were reconditioned just before christmas

How hard is it to put new rings on a 2H, I have done it on a couple of KB lasers. is it the same but bigger.

Only running 8-9psi, not intercooled, 33s and 2in lift, but i got 14 both before and for ages after both of them went on.

If the diaphram is leaking, is it just simply a case of pulling it off and chucking some goo under it, or is it not that simple.

Its in the back of the pump. You would just go to the spares place and get a new diaphragm. They aren't rediculously expensive. About $70 I think, give or take.

Best off getting the 2h manual and reading up on the process.

I know where it is, but just wasn't sure if anything needed adjusting after.
