Can anyone tell me what to expect when driving with an auto locker in the front whilst at speed? Like driving on the beach? How will it affect the steering????

Cheers :D

Assuming you mean in 4wd, steering will be a bit heavier, but thats about it. It isnt quite as cut and dried as that anyhow. I run Detriot lockers front and rear and the only time steering is affected is when the locker is torqued up, by that I mean, when the locker is actually locking both axles together under power. Usually when playing on rocks, or hill climbs. Running locked hubs and in 2wd, there is no difference to steering or performance. Running locked hubs and in 4wd, when normal driving (coasting, accellerating smoothly, or decelerating) i still feel no difference. As previously stated, only when the car is working hard in 4wd, does the steering become difficult, with a strong tendancy to go straight ahead. Confusing, I know, but true. If you are contemplating an auto locker in the front, and if you dont like it, and you are lucky enough to have identical diffs front and rear, you can always put it in the rear. Beleive me, you wont regret getting lockers, absolutely best mod I ever did to my Rocky.

Cheers
