I currenty am running 33's on my 4" lifted 89 swb gq, 1st question is can I get away with a 4" spring lift to run 35's & 2nd question is that because it is an auto how much would 35's affect the performance from 33's?? tb42 pet/gas.
Thx Pete

Trim the gards a bit [VERY EASY TO DO]
And if my 2.8 diesel can power 35`s
you should have no probs with a 4.2 auto

I run 35's with a 4" lift the tyres just touch the rear guards not enough to make me get the grinder out,Yet. Motor has plenty of power but the economy does suffer.

Cheers for the reply's, I am grabbing a set of 35 st's next week, go up the hills & get it crossed up to see how badly it rubs. Hopefully won't have to get the grinder out as Iam guessing you only get 1 good shot @ doing that right
Only real concern is going to be the sluggishness of the auto I think???? Thx Guy's

what ratio are ur diff gears? mine were 3.9 with 31's (auto) and going to 33's ther was a very noticable drivability difference..slug down low but had the longest legs,,,,u will notice it even more with the auto when u go 35's.
i changed to 4.3 gears and my 33's work a treat now.. big balls down low and high way drivability with the overdrive..im gunna run 36/37 for offroad only very very soon...
