He guys, My birfield joint has a mark stamped on it which says "Birfield 87AC". I reckon this is the model number but does this number looks familiar to any of you? It's out of a daihatsu f20 and I'm wondering if i can use one from an other car as a replacement.
Cheers, Ron

In typical daihatsu fashion the F20/AUS Rocky would have been the only application this CV will fit.

Are the F20's rare or common over there Ron?

F20's are very rare here, I was lucky to get myself 2 of them, one for restoration, other for parts and sheet. Leftover bits will be used for play toy, since bashing the restored one will be a pain (have to fabricate my own sheet metal and things like the diffs and trannies are nowhere to find). Suzuki's are dirt cheap on the other hand and are very common as everywhere. Stupid me for having the ol'beast ....
BTW you still have some pics of the build up of ur rig?
cheers

Yep, all hard copy, not digital. have to scan some in and post in the diehardsu section.
If you get really stuck for parts let me know. We have a dedicated daihatsu wrecker in town, might be able to arrange freight to you. I can appreciate the difficulty in finding stuff for these little rigs.

Seems like heaven where you are
Appreciate the offer mate. I'll think of that when I'll not be able to find some stuff over here in Europe. Guess the more exotic stuff like pto winches are very rare in Oz also..
