Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I am currently using sakura filters on my 2000 gu 4.2 td. Mine has the two different filters and the sakura numbers are C1812-2 and C1819. I understand sakura make the genuine nissan filters and I am getting these sakura ones for $30 each, not much better pricing than genuine really. Does anyone know where I can get these cheaper, will probably have to freight them as I live in Alice. Also does anyone know of fleetguard filters to suit td42t's and if so how much they are?

ask nissan for a price on a box of 12 or 24

mine came down from $28 to $14

splitting a box of 24 with 3 guys in perth

ps. we all have the 2 of the same filters so a bit cheaper to start with

CUMMINS FLEETGUARD LF3314 and get two of them from memory 7 dollars each..

oil light went out nearly half a second after turning key.

i use coopers or some other brand (there black) from the local auto parts store $4.50 to $5, i've also seen Z9 filters used.

Sakura don't make the OE ones. Sakura are from Indonesia, the OE ones I've seen are made in Thailand. Maybe your'e getting confused where it says Sakura Genuine Filter on the box

Fleetguard are good. Currently using a US made Donaldson P169071 Syntec media filter (equivalent to a Z9, only much better flow and filtration) for the full flow filter, and OE Nissan for the full flow/by-pass combo one. Oil light goes out really quickly, unlike when using recommended Donaldson P557780 (made in Indonesia), Wix (Sakura) Purolator, Nippon Max, OE Nissan full flow.....
None of their bloody anti-drain back valves work, so all the oil drains out of the filter when left standing for any length of time, resulting in a dry start each time.

You're right on the bottom of the box made in indonesia. Just fitted my last sakura filters, thanks.

Will these filters fit my '00 td42t? The front filter which I think is a bypass filter is a nissan 15208-20n00 and the rear a 15208-43g00. The front filter has the larger thread. With the sakura filters I am using the oil light takes about 5 sec to go out if the motor has been sitting for any length of time.

i bought 24 x 15208-43g00 today @ 14.90 a filter

i'll stick with genuine for warrenty reasons for now

went to see about LF3314 filters today and was told lhey have oil pressure problems same as the rest of the filters, apparently the best is the genuine nissan filter 15208-w1120 and was told they should be less than $10.

whats the difference between a

15208-w1120 and a 15208-43g00 ?

don't know the difference, that was just what the guy at the truck spares shop recommended when i said my fourby was taking a while to build up oil pressure.

i wouldn't use LF3314 becuase they have 21 litres a minute flow rate and a bypass valve rated at 10 PSI where as the LF3659 which is what fleetguard recommend has a flow rate of 36 litres a minute with no bypass valve its in the oil cooler housing, and the bypass valve in the is rated at 25 PSI

What does this mean in Laymans?

what it means is the LF3314 will stop filtering your oil before 5000kms
and when it is filtering your oil it doesn't do as good a job as the proper filter. also a Z9 will fit but won't do the job properly.
