Was contemplating doing a 5in lift on my 80 and wondering if anyone has had any trouble with the radius arm fouling the tie rod once lifted? Anything else I should look into before I go ahead, other than extended brake lines, adjustable panhards, longer shocks?

buy a reputable kit is the best way, they cover everything.

otherwise you will need caster plates or aftermaket trailing arms to correct the caster, lower the swaybars down or they hit on the prop shaft, you may need a longer steering rod, definitely a wheel alignment as well as the bits you mentioned.

I have got 4in lift , going to fit caster plates( I used offset bushes but 4in is too much for them), 4in swaybar spacers front, rear swaybar disconnect kit, longer shocks, springs, longer adjustable steering rod (from the box to the steering arm, stock drag link, longer brake lines,

hope this helps

i have a 4 inch lift in my 80 using Dobinson springs so it's prettty high ,i had to play alot with caster plates to stop it hitting the radius rods and still drive good.

I've got a 100 series with a 4" lift and after fitting castor plates the track rod is rubbing on the radius arm and the front drive shaft has a bad vibration due to the angle the unis are at. What did you do to solve these problems.

I had to grind a couple of mm off the radius arms to fix rubbing.
As for the front shaft.
There are a few options, the cheapest and esiest is to get a double cardon joint put on the transfercase end. This fixed my probs.

i had the same problem and i had to slot the holes in the caster plates untill they didn't rub although they do just touch on lock!but not enough to worry about, and fit a double cardin to front shaft, mine still has a very slight driveline vibration under load i could probably lower the crossmember an inch and fix it though!!!
