Removing Castor Corection PLates

Need to remove plates.
Can i simply unbolt them and the radius arm, remove and then re attach radius arm. Will there be any surprises
Vehicle is 80 series cruiser

Just do it. Will prob need OE bolts.
Put a large screw drive through holes to help align. Also as you remove one end with a chock under front wheels and handbrake off get someone to push vehicle and front axle housing will rotate to help put bolts back in.

Much easier to use a bottle jack under the pinion to tilt the axle housing.

Hoping I can use a bolt from the plates to go back through original position,
or do you think that I will require a different, length, type bolt, that may have been thrown out when they were installed.

its likely the bolts you have are longer since they had to go through the castor correction plates aswell. if theres not enough thread you wont be able to use them. If theres more thread it means more thread will be sticking out (to get dammaged?)

Well I got em off.
Took me about an hour and half with a torch.
Used jack to rotate the pinion. This made the job quite easy.
The bolts are a bit long but will do for now.
