32" on 83 Stock Rangie

Post by Jay »

Got an 1983 carburator Rangie on 2" OME lift.
Wanna keep it stock looking (old family truck all will go crazy on me if I trim)
Will 32" fit in without fender trimming?
Will the carburator V8 be enough to spin these tyres?

To answer you question, yes it's possible. Your 83 a 2 or 4 door :?:

I run 235/85R16 MT/R's on my 83 Rangie and I have a 2 inch spring/1 inch body lift on board. The 3.5 will turn the tyres abeit slowly I will say.

It's all about the gearing, the 83's have a 1:1 high range in the transfer and unlike the earlier Rangies with 1.2-1.4:1 they tend to make the vehicle slugish.

3.5's are gutless anyway so live with it :D
