Clutch life

Hey all,

just curious as to how long everyones stock clutch has lasted them and how much stress they have put on it. Mine decided it hated me and chose to not do its job, so getting that fixed this week. Mine is a 1997 TJ 155,000 kms, mainly highway use but occasionally offroad, but nothing extreme.

As i said above, just curious about this.

Cheers

Dan

Are they agressive tyres because their weight would make a difference too.

Mine has done 120,000 and I reckon is due for a clutch in the next few months. It does a lot of 4wd'ing, and I'm happy with the life of the clutch :D

Mine shat itself at around 45K - but that was due to mud and bad luck more than anything.

i have 31in tyres with stock gears. I ran COOPER ST, went to BFGOODRICH AT near the end of last year so no real stress on the driveline.

Im happy with the amount of kms i got out of the standard clutch. I guess it was a good thing it went cos it finalised my decision to get an OME 2.5" lift kit :) That will be going on in the next couple of weeks and can't wait!!!
