Howdy,
I am posting this for a mate who is too lazy to sign up
He wants to put 35” tyres on his car however he seems to think that they won’t fit with out lifting the body. Has front and rear custom bars and doesn’t want them modified to suit
He has already fitted a 4 inch suspension lift to it and currently runs 33inch coopers.
What is needed to be done to fit 35's on an 80 series???

if he wants to keep his flares you want minimum of 5 inches moreso 6 inches lift total..
whether thats 4 in suspension lift and 2 body...what ever..
4 will give you ripped off mud flaps and wacked flares if he uses it "properly" off road...(look for BJ hanging around in that case!

Thanks we already had a look at this site. I was hoping for some more of a personal view from somebody with an 80 series and 35's

I run 33's and only 50mm body lift and stock suspension in my 80.
I have adequate clearance and no rubbing.
I aim to have 4" lift in soon. I have flexy flares and my car sees WORK!
I don't have any rear mudflaps on etc - I have no dramas' but expect to have to do the gearing once I go up in size (36" Swampers organised).
Maybe PM XXXL80 as he has 35's on now - but he has 6" lift to suit.
gearing will be an issue as you will need to goto 4.88's to get the power back.
Other than that - good luck.

There is an offer in Melbourne to trial fit some and check out interference issues.
PM for more info.
