best workshop manual for 2.8 lux

Hey guys just wondering what the best workshop manual is for a 2.8 diesel single cab hilux 97 model cheers?

If you honestly want the best you cant go past the genuine Toyota manual
You did ask for the best if you want cheeeeap get a gregorys or a haynes

And you have priced the whole set of factory manuals??
For what its worth as a home mechanic, get a gregories. Good value.
Even though i have the factory set at work, i still have a gregories at home. Cant beat them.

Is there really that much of a difference between the after market manuals???
They all seem to be the same when it comes down to it... (Don't judge a book buy its cover

Yes, there is.
Gregories tells you stuff. Haynes tells you to see your factory service centre for everything.

Depends what you want .
I've got the factory manuals & Gregorys.
They are both useful.
The factory manual is way better for componentry level repairs. ie Gearbox/driveline rebuilds etc.
The Gregory manuals are great for service work, they state fluid volumes & give good general information. (Not good enough for a motor rebuild or a gearbox rebuild)

i have found that the Max Ellerys to be quite good, they have good tech descriptions and if you need to pull something down to rebuild it, it is in pretty good detail. you can get them from super cheap

Where in the Hunter are you??
I've got a mate in Muswellbrook who does good cheap rebuilds, if you need any serious work done.
He's rebuilt shit loads of Hilux engines & gearboxes, as well as fitted Holden & Chev V8 donks to a fair few.
He's also a Landrover freak as well as doing awesome rebuilds on Holden V8's.
Also if you need any factory info give me a PM as I've got a lot of Toyota Hilux manuals.
