Run a wire from any fuse that has constant power to the steering wheel horn pad then to the horn and earth the horn. simple. From fuse to horn pad(switch) to the horn and to earth.

Every horn switch I've ever played with (OK, not many) switched a single wire to earth. toughnut's description may not work.

Spot on Scott!
The single wire that is switched to earth is the negative (earth) coil wire for the horn relay.
You can't use a horn switch to directly drive a horn, unless you use an aftermarket switch that is mounted on the dash, and rated at 30 Amps.
If you haven't had any joy, I'll post a diagram tomorrow!
Cheers, Dean.

Are you using the horn switch on the steering wheel or are you going to install a separate switch?
I'll get a diagram together soon, but I will warn you, I'm shite with paint!!

few days late, but thought i would add my two cents,
with ingition on check for power at the back of the horn, if good, earth the other side. if that works, the neg wire which should head stright to the steering wheel, at the wheel, take the pad off see if you can earth the horn wire if this operates the horn, then your problem is in the s/wheel, i've had it a few times with hilux's 80's, just wack a blob of solder on the end of the contact so it can reach the contact ring better,, this normally solves it.
