Afternoon All
Has anyone had any experience with Motorway's monoform Mongrel?
I've spoken to Motorway and the Brisbane distributor and they say that they have been selling sop well that they're finding it difficult to keep up with demand.
They've already released a 33"x12.5"x15", with 305/70-16 coming in June, 35'x12.5"x15" in July and a 315/75-16 in August. The 33's sell for $220ea. 35's probably around $250ea.
I must admit I still am cautious about purchasing a monoform, but as usual, I'm open to all learned opinions.

Mate of mine has the 32s on his Feroza. The wear seems to be very good on them. Offroad, I have no idea however. He did say that when aired down they don't flex a huge amount. He had done 5000ks on them and still hadn't warn off the outer tread nipples
They certainly looked nice and aggressive..but where very noisy on road.

my cousin ran a motorway retread (31" AT type pattern) on a swb pajero. one front tyre developed a slow leak. the other blew at speed.

I bought the Motorway Muddies and got 8,000 out of them  . When I spoke to the company about it, they basically told me to rack off and didnt want to know about me.
As tempting as the price is. Think seriously about it before shelling out. What has made me decide never to deal with them again is there customer service, not the tyres.
Cheers
Pete

Ruff,
On the northside LJ Tyres at Geebung and there's another that Motorway gave me but I can't remember. LJ deals with taxis a lot so they have a pretty good relationship with Motorway from what I hear.

After much debate and self doubt, I've decided to ditch the Mongrel option and run with MTR's.
The whole retread thing was a worry when at the end of the day I can get a tyre with a great reputation, especially considering its short time in the market place for $50 extra per tyre.
I went and had a look at them at Goodyear at Morayfield and they had a set of 33's. They look GREAT!! So come tax cheque time, I'll be beating a track to Morayfield!!
Thanks all for your input.
