Jimny clutch replacement

Hi Zookers,

A friends 99 Jimny appears to need a new clutch. Any ideas on what type and brand etc. He runs 225/70 16 tyres and it has about 80k on the odometer. Probably 20k on those tyres. Stock tyres before that.

How long does a stock Jimny clutch usually last?

He has been quoted around $550 drive in/drive out and apparently $350 of that is the clutch.

How hard is it to change a Jimny clutch yourself including getting the flywheel machined.

Thanks.

Thanks Mud4b.

We might give it a go ourselves. I've done a few before but never a jimny.

You're right. Autobarn just quoted $235 for a standard clutch.

Hi Mud4b,

Just noticed your sig line. Didn't realise you sold this stuff.

How much do you charge for a stock 99 Jimny clutch?

Would you recommend a stronger one for running 225/70 16 tyres with stock gearing?

Also where are you located in Qld? We are in Brisbane.

We are not sure if we will do it ourselves yet as neither of us really have the time atm.

Thanks.
