Brake line extensions on lift kits

Hey just interested in some advice...
i will be putting in my lift kit soon and was told by the supplier that you dont have to extend brake lines... however you can make up plate or bracket and move something (unsure of what not that technically minded) and thus will give you enough brake line length.
to me i have no idea on this as everyone has told me to do extended lines, but he did say that if you change your brake lines they can become very spongy and that you could ruin your master cyclinder as you will pushing more into the pedal and hence could be pushing the pin the cyinder further and blow seals ???
just after some advice its GU 04 Patrol with about 5-6" lift

i dunno anything about the brake lines, but just a point of interest, you cant do a body lift on a patrol with airbags...... just incase you havent heard that

What he is talkin about champ is undoing all of your brake tubes on the diff and stretching it up a few inches.
For $165 you can buy extended braided lines and have better brakes than standard.
We had a GU running 35's and could not get his brakes to lock up until we changed even the little brake lines on the calipers to braided and they locked up after that.
You think about it you are changing over a meter of standard rubber flexing brake lines to non flexing braided brake lines.
Do it right the first time for the sake of $165.

Definately go the braided extended lines morkz, I'm gonna put em on my GQ soon, just been short of cash again!!
Not sure how much you know about this stuff, but braided lines don't expand under pressure like normal rubber lines, especially extended lines, so your calipers get full hydraulic pressure, none is lost in the tube expansion....makes a big difference, I run em on my dirt bike and it makes a big difference.

I run modified by me shock extentions and also i put 25mmx3mm steel plates to extend the brake lines. drill some 8mm holes 50mm apart and bolt them on and bingo they are extended. they work but legal???

wasnt really to fussed about the money was more people telling me that the braking wont be the same.
however for $165 for braded lines i'll probably just do that
also i wont be going XWC3 the guys i raced with lost sponsorship so it costs us about $5k for the semi for the 3 days.
that $165 for braded lines is that for all 4 ?? and where can i find them?

thats what i was trying to get across to do ..........

Yeah champ sorry if I offended you. $165 is just for the braided from chasis to diff front and rear. Add in around $220 for the four little ones because of all of the fittings.

no offence taken will try and sort it down here.... i know of a few companies but if i have no luck will give u a ring
i just want it done right.... so thanks for the advice

depends on what size lift.
Some you can as Cris says remove the brackets to get enough, but depends on how much travel you end up with..
As you say, longer lines are the go specially ADR approved Braided ones. Would also be interested to find them for that price.
there were a few threads on here on them in the past, but not for all 4.
