Power steer help please.

Decided to fit my power steering while doing some other mods. Bad idea. I rebuilt everything before fitting but have a problem where I have power assist when turning left but not right. According to my workshop manual it is an internal leak in the steering gear, just wondering if anyone has any idea where before i go pulling everything apart again.
