Supercheap winches

I was at supercheap the other day and noticed that they have some 1200lb electric winches for around $130.
Would these be any good for suspension compression on a buggy?
I know you get what you pay for but it's not like they will be recovering vehicles. I woulld just spool with plasma or wire of a heavier gauge.

We have had one on our boat trailer for the last 3yrs, works a treat.Boat gets used three days a week,no problems retreiving an 18ft off the beach.
Replaced original wire with plasma heaps better

A 1200lb winch wouldn't pull a greasy stick out of your ass. I think its a boat winch dude.

Next time read the text you are quoting properly. 1200lbs is plenty for compressing the suspension. I think he is already fully aware it is a boat winch.

They will probably both go in the weekend, spend the money & get the right tool for the job.
Or one day you will end up like those two dills that croaked in the WA desert.

You will end up dead because you skimped on a winch that you only bought to compress suspension? I guess your right uncompressed suspension can be deadly.

you may have only bought it to compress suspension but like most things it ends up being used for other things.

In the location that it would be mounted in there is not much other than compressing suspension that it could be used for.
What does everyone else use?

The 10 000lb winch on my Rodeo used to be mounted on a barge at work
I prefer its current location
