Besides the obvious "pinching in" on the tyre what other issues would arise if you put a 33x12.5x15 tyre on a 7inch rather than an 8 inch rim?

you will be more prone to roll a tyre off the rim at low psi

Also, if sometime down the track you want to go a bigger tyre, much easier by having the bigger rim.

I thought the common opinion was the narrower the rim for a given tyre size, the less likely it was to come of the bead.

It is less likely to be bumped off the rim, but is subject to more leverage during turns. The narrow rim can make it less responsive to steering inputs - easier to twist the tyre contact patch wrt the rim centerline.

I have 33's on 7 inch rims and and it's realy bad on corners and the tyre have warn the side lugs right off. I woud only put them on a 8 inch rim with my next set of tyres.

Why bother with online when you can walk into most large tyre retailers and get a set. Freight on what is a standard rim would be the killer.

a 8 '' rim reduces the ballon effect the 7'' rims give the tyres
make a reduced chance of a spike in the side wall

I was always a fan of narrow rims, but having seen some 12.5's and 13.5's on 10" rims I'd have to say that's the way they were designed to run. even 8's will crown a 12.5, esp if it's a cross ply.

I agree, I saw some JT2s 11.5's on 10's and they looked perfect, yet others have stated that they shouldnt even be seen near 10in rims..
