36's would need ratios man, my hj60 drives the 33's alright on standard ratio but youd definantly need a lower ratio to turn 36's.

60 series have 4.1's standard.
Turning 36's with standard ratios with a stock 2h will be hard work for the old diesel, but not impossible.
It will be a dog at higher speeds, but first gear on road will be more usable.
I think 4.88's are available.

you can get 6.2:1 out of older stout utes, which is a cheap crawler if you can get them, but be aware this is almost a 50% reduction in ratio, so your rpm will go through the roof for anything over 80km/h even with the 36's. 4.30, 4.56, 4.88 and 5.29 are all available aftermarket but can be expensive - budget about $800 per diff fitted for new gears. for similar $ you can get transfer gears that give you much better low range and a slight reduction in high range, with the added dual benefit that you keep your dime-a-dozen 4.1 diff gears which are stronger and cheap.
