Mate of mine put a Toyota hook on top on his Disco , just outside the upright. I am assuming Disco and 110 are similar
BUT he didn't plate it and the top buckled because it is thin.
I think the best place is on top next to the upright , and the bumper mount, but plate underneath with say 1/4 inch plate, about 80mm square at least.

I had 2 front towing eyes installed by ARB to my Defender with std L/R factory bar. They removed bar to fit and reinforced with 6 mm plate. Eyes mounted outboard of chasis rails but level with them. No problem with snatch recoveries or double line winching. Only drawback is have to use shackles to attach straps etc. :D
