35's on a Hilux - front guard clearance

I'm putting some 2" springs under a solid axle LN106 Hilux. Just wondering if this will be enough to stop the tyres hitting the back corner of the front guards when flexed if I run 35's?. If not, will shackles do the trick or will it need a body lift?. Thanks.

I run a 2" spring lift and 3" body lift and 33's on 15 x 8's still scrape, you'll need to get the old trusty angle grinder onto it

No way will it be! I had 2'' springs and 33''s and they hit the front guard on full compression! A 2'' body lift sorted it out.
As for 35''s you will proberly have move your diff foward as well as a body lift (do a search there is heaps of info) or you could have to cut your guards.

i am running 35's, 2" spring, 2" body lift with my front axle moved 1 1/2" forward on spring perch. heaps of flex and only just scrubs occasionally. i have some guards with 2" cut out of them all the way around. figure i might fit some 37's

Moving the diff forward is the key, my 33's scrape on the back of the guards also. Rears up front will move your diff forward i believe, this is what i plan to do anyway to solve the scraping probs.

Glad I asked before I blew the $$ one the tyres. Has anyone tried re-drilling the centre bolt an inch or so forward on the spring pack?

if you want to run 35's this is what i recomend.
on the 4runner i had 2 inch body lift and 2 inch springs and it only scrubbed a little on full compression. when i put the rear springs in the front it moved the diff forward around 1.5 inches.
give a call if you want to have a look at my set up.
cheers joel

already bought the springs but may be able to exchange them. Wouldn't 2" rears lift the front too high compared to the back?, the rears have a pretty big bend in comparison.

I might try the standard old rears up front and see how it sits. The extra H/D rears I bought are pretty big with no weight in the tray. I guess i'd need some of those boomerand shackles you were flogging hey Joel?
