unfortunatly no.

GQ diffs will not fit in MQs at all,

they wont fit and also the axle spline counts are different.

I have read through that link and got more confused as it went on.

I will ask a question that hopefuly will only require a yes or no answer.

Will a Pathfinder lsd rear diff fit into an MQ/MK front housing?

The ratio in question is 4.625:1

Ok, lets see.

unfortunatly no.

So in that case, if a Terrano LSD will fit a GQ front diff, but the GQ and MQ diffs are in no way interchangable, then a Terrano diff will obviously not fit the MQ.
So if a MK diff is the same as a MQ diff, the Terrano LSD obviously won't fit that either.

Hope that helps a little

Cheers,
Pete.

So what the hell is this about???

We will see though.
I'll ask tomorrow.

The Safari/MQ carrier fits in but the mounting holes for the crown wheel need to be machined larger and offset to fit.

Ummm.
The rear LSD from a Terrano will fit the front of a GQ and the rear LSD from a MK will fit with some machining of the holes.
I see your point.
Technically if you could reduce the size of the holes and offset them inwards, the Terrano LSD carrier should fit the rear of your MK.

What Rainbow Warrior was saying i beleive, was that the FRONT diff of the MK is totaly different to front diff of the GQ, and the rear LSD of the Terrano will only fit the GQ front diff. The rear LSD from an MK will also fit the front diff of a GQ with some persausion.
But the front diff of the MK is different to them all so no go there.
At least thats how i read it anyway
Cheers,
Pete.

unless the Pathfinder rear is a C200 diff, then NO it wont.

and im 80 percent positive that its not a C200.

C200 diffs come out in 4.1, 4.3, and 4.625 which is the most common ;)
