Centre caps on the wheels.

I've finally broken too many plastic clips from the inside of one of my centre caps. I'm too scared to ask Mitsubishi for a quote, and suspect that any I can find at wreckers will be

a. overpriced and
b. in a similar condition

so I'm wondering if anybody has successfully "improved" the clips to something more robust?

Thanks,

Scott

I use mine as nut and bolt trays/holders when I do work on the PJ. the metal bit that fits behind the rim rusted and lost its springynest on mine. Ive got standard steel rims. You've got alloys dont you? If not your wellcome to my caps.

I've got aftermarket steel rims, but managed to make the standard alloy centrecaps fit. Because the wheels are a different shape it's hard to lever the caps off, and I think this is what breaks the clips.

Thanks for the offer, but ACT is a bit far to pick them up. :P I'm still thinking about ways to fix mine...

Cheers,

Scott
