I have the old twin point dizzy on my Chev 350 & was thinking about replacing it with a newer electronic type but i dont know much about whats available & where to get them.
Just after a basic (cheap) one without all the extra race ignition etc.
What do you guys use & were to buy from ?

I have procomp dissy in mine and no problems with it. Different ones for different applications including one with coil built into the cap.

Available from sydney speed supplies not sure where else.

Might go & have a look at a HEI.
Did you notice any difference in revs/ power after installing one, is it worth it ?

ive got a vn 5 litre dissy on mine, (at least thats what the cap and rotor are from) just runs the sensor to an ICE ignition module. I didn't put it there so i don't know if its a straight swap though.

I recently read on another forum where someone asked what the $250 Procomp HEI ones are like and not one positive response. I'd get a better brand HEI though.

Ring your local yank car wrecker, should be able to pickup a chev hei for $50 or so.
