fuel prob. I think?

I have fitted a cav filter before the orig. filter about 10 days ago.
I have noticed some mornings that it starts ok but I get about 100 metres down the road and I start to loose power then it picks up and is fine for the rest of the day. It did the same tonight but just stalled. after turning it over a few times it started and it been fine since. Did I have to bleed something when I did the filter or isit something else?
