front 3 link

had a front 3 piont link with p/rod before on a d90 and had quite a bit of rap but sorted this with larger triangler anyway did away with it and now working out a better one but my question is does the 3rd arm need to be shorter or not as mine are all about the same length nowand meet the axle on the same cross veiw with 8inch of height difference know nam and daddy have done a lot of this any advice as they are on portals as well
