cant answer your questions.
I have rockhoppers, 6:1. no probs they are good.

seems your good at shattering things. ie rear locker + rockhoppers, maybe drive a bit easier!

enjoy

hey redzook.
don't you have s3 in yours at the mo? why are you going lower? why not change ur diff ratio, or is this to keep highway speed?.

yes have series 3 atm
i dont like the series 3
i busted one with 33's .

plus a lilttle lower off road wont hurt
i can always change up gears

already have 4.8 diff ratios dont wana go to 5.29's heard to many bad reports + on road revs are nearly spot on

well by the look of it the locker has let go due to one of the bolt heads snapping of and falling into the crown wheel.

And i had s1 rockhoppers and i've been told that they had a bad batch when i bought mine thats why you can't buy new s1 rockhoppers anymore.

i have had, seen, used both rockhoppers and calmini gears in different ratios..

i do not think the quality of either is any different from each other...

i have calmini 5.14's on order... will have them in the zuk by august hopefully.

the high range reduction suits 31's better IMHO... if i go as far as 32/33's itll be time for lux diffs with lower ratios in em anyway.

question

I dsid this to my coily.. Cost $250 for the gear welding, $75 to buy the 1ly gears and I got given the x-fer case. I drive it hard on Toyota diffs and 33's. No problems and very happy with it. Also ARB airlocker rear and CIG front.
