Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I found this ebay shop that sells 10m rolls of silicon hoses, they have internal sizes of 4mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm etc. Just wondering what sort of usages you'd get out of it? I'm assuming it's not a high pressure type line... 10m would go a long way..

generaly use it fot actuators etc valves and the like

i used to work for a warehouse that distributes it, most of it used to go laborotries and places like that, the stuff we used to handle was very soft and very flexible, and surprisingly strong. good for water tank fillers and plumbing for them, probably ok for vacume lines and similar

If it is soft and flexible how can it be good for vacuume lines? Wouldn't it just collaspe as the internal air pressure lowered?

this stuff was fairly thick in the wall, and came in sizes from 1/4 inch to 3/4inch, the walol thickness on a piece of 1/2 inch outer diameter was about 3mm, i think it would handle the vacume, never actually tried it though. would have to be handy for other things too though

I thought about getting a roll to make my diff and box breathers, then use the rest on other things. But i can't really think of "other things" which would justify 10m worth.

If it is stretchy you can make your own slingshot...

I pinched some silicon hose from work for my breather extentions... It seemed to break down after a couple of months and became quite brittle. Broke down the quickest nearest the diff, guess the vapours from the oil ate at it...

for the diff breathers just goto a place like bias boating and buy some fuel hose, 8mm fuel hose is $6 a meter and tough as shit , much cheaper than getting stuck with 10m of silicon hose

Yeah I deleted the idea about ten minutes after I had it any ways

I wouldn't use it for vacuum, it collapses very easy, ok for breathers (small vacuum), but it does not like oils so it will breakdown and wont last
