Toyota Hilux Sterring Arm Question

I have just converted my LN65 Hilux to power steering using a LN106 Power Steering Box.
This is a solid axle hilux, not cross over or highsteer.
The problem I have is where the drag link connects to the the steering arm, it now hits the leaf spring U-bolts. It was always close, but now the new steering box is in, it has changed the angle slightly and now it hits.
What I don't understand, is that a bloke at work has a standard LN106 hilux and where the draglink connects to the steering arm there is about 1.5 inches of clearance to the U-bolts on the leaf spring.
I rang toyota and they said the steering arm is the same for both models, so I can't work out why there is so much difference.
Now before anyone says something like suspension heights etc Its all mounted off the steering knuckle, so spring height would have nothing to do with it.
Only thing I can think of is perhaps mine is bent?
Any help would be great!
