Im trying to suss out where to tap into the oil for the gauge i have just got. This is on my 2.8l lux, it was suggested by a mate that i use the oil light connection just under and to the left of the oil filter, but after taking the wire off im at a loss as to how to get it out, looks like a small grease nipple to me, even if i could get this out id have to drill it out and tap it to get the fitting in there which is something i dont want to do anyway. I have a turbo which is taking oil from the block could i get a T-piece or an adaptor of some kind and tap into this oil feed? Its an autometer gauge so the fittings are in imperial (i have taps for them though) so if there is some kind of plug i can pull out and tap into that would be great. My gregory's is a little vague on the oil system.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

That is where I have mine.

I have an extension that has a male thread one end, female thread half way along & female thread in the end.

The extension screws into the engine block, the oil pressure sender screws into the end of the extension & the oil pressure switch (which also controls my dual battery setup) screws into the extension half way along.

All up cost $10 in parts from Enzed/Pirtec, can't remember which.

cheers mate.. the thing that the grease nipple looking thing is in is actually a plug and can be taken out i figured it was part of the block.
