IFS rear conversion - a few questions...

Ok I did the IFS rear conversion today all all has gone well except for 2 things..

1. the handbrake cable is now not long enough any more with the extra width and axle moved towards the rear - what is the work around for this?

2. I have a bad whine (sounds like tyre noise but isnt) from the rear - could it be bearings or something to do with the drums etc? The IFS rear housing, axles etc where a little rusty thats why I think it could be bearings? although I now get a shudder through the brake peddle as well which I never got before the conversion?

before you put in your new housing

it might have been a good time to replace wheel bearings and recondition the brakes  ......... just a thought

you need to get a new,[wider] rear section of the handbrake cable suited to the IFS diff housing.
