Hilux short circuit
park lights go on everytime I press my brake, with keys in ignition or not still does it, very weird, does anyone know where abouts the short circuit would be occuring? It's all the lights that go one, even the instrument cluster and number plate lights turn on, they turn off as soon as I take my foot off the brake to
this happened in our commodore the other day after we changed the bulbs,
our problem was we bought a rear light bulb that didnt have the proper connections, so it wasnt earthing properly and earthing through the park lights. make sure all the earths are on from the brake lights.
work back from there.

Sounds like you installed a single filament globe into a dual filament socket. As a single filament globe's positve input is in the centre it will short out the two inputs.
Therefore not only are you parkers coming on with your brakes but your brakes will be coming on with your parkers. So at night your brake lights are always on. Not the safest situation to be in.
No harm done though.
