HJ60 - Popping Out Of 4lo - Fan Hitting Shroud

I know what ya's will say - Broken Eng Mount! But none are split or cracked.

Basically under heavy load (4lo, 1st, Uphill Work) the fan hits the radiator shroud and the t-case lever spits into nuetral - annoying when your half way up a slope and your cruizin backwards in 4N at a great rate of knots :)

I'm sorta thinking my rear eng (gbox) mount is warped/sagged, not that it shows any real signs of that from usual mount testing procedures but its all i can figure it out to be - eng/box/tcase move sideways under heavy load, making fan hit shroud/tcase lever hit floor (pushing it back to 4lo).

What do u's reckon.. anytihng any one else can throw into the equation?

its an 84 HJ60.

I still think it's a broken engine mount. the rear one especially can be broken and look perfectly fine. the only way to check is to pull it out. the front ones you can jack up the motor under the balancer and rock it to see if they are broken. they split at the bonding between the rubber and steel, so they can look fine even when they are busted.

i busted the left engine mount a month ago and it did the same thing, it had me stumped cause the rubbers looked fine no cracks, it turned out that the rubbers had broken right where it joined to the metal plate so i couldn't see it, try TIDY42's suggestion as that's how i found mine.
